Protea Posy is a downloadable foundation paper pieced (FPP) quilt pattern inspired by my deep love for the protea, South Africa's bold, beautiful, and iconic bloom. This design is a vibrant celebration of these remarkable flowers, blending the precision of geometric piecing with the warmth of heritage and contemporary quilt design.
 
Originally featured in Make Modern Magazine, Issue 67, Protea Posy was also presented as a workshop at the 23rd South African National Quilt Festival in Gqeberha in July 2026, where quilters explored the techniques behind this striking design.
